I'm 50, and the best thing I learned is to always have a plan B; it doesn't mean failure, but it beats disaappointment.
And success is self defined. I may not be famous in my field, but I can say that so far, everything I wanted to do in life, I've achieved; for me, that's success. The good life is everyday you do something enjoyable.
